The challenge for early childhood programs
Leadership Drain - Directors often find themselves in constant crisis-response mode, sapping their capacity to build sustainable systems and lead proactively.
Teacher Turnover - Teachers don’t feel effective in the classroom and spend most of their time managing behavior rather than teaching and connecting.
Disconnected Families - Children learn best when skills are reinforced at home and families feel connected and supported.
Calm classrooms come from intentional leadership, aligned teaching teams, and family partnership.
That’s why we created Rooted — a complete support system for early childhood programs.
Rooted is a first-of-its-kind support system for early childhood programs. We combine leadership development, quality teacher training, and practical tools designed to transform your program.

FAQs
Do you offer professional development hours?
Yes. Our director trainings and teacher trainings are all eligible for PD hours. We provide you and your team with certificates of completion.
If you purchase a staff meeting training, you will receive certificates of completion for all of your teachers who attend, plus you as the facilitator.
For example, if you have 9 teachers in your program, plus yourself, and you facilitate a 2-hour staff meeting training, you would pay $95 for a single training and get 20 hours of professional development (2 hours per person), at a cost of ~$5 per hour per person.
Programs find this to be a very affordable way to reach their professional development hour requirements.
Are your trainings compatible with different educational philosophies?
Yes. Whether you’re Montessori, Waldorf, Nature based, Reggio, or anything else, we’ve designed our trainings and resources in way that honors the differences in program’s educational philosophies and still gives leaders and teachers practical strategies and tools they can implement right away.
What makes you different than other training organizations?
Rooted Development is the only early childhood service focused on facilitating program transformation. We take a systems approach to solving the most challenging problems that leaders and teachers face, using real tools, expert coaching, and proven practices developed in some of the most successful early childhood programs in the country.
What are 'staff meeting trainings' and what do they include?
Our video linked here explains this best.
But in short, our turnkey 'staff meeting trainings' are designed to build teacher knowledge, skills and collaboration.
These trainings are designed to be delivered during a 90-120 minute staff meeting and position you (the director) as the facilitator of your teacher's growth.
They include instructional videos, teacher handouts, and place an emphasis on engaging, discussion-based activities. Our format helps teachers immediately put their new knowledge into practice, and creates a training experience that keeps teachers engaged and coming back for more.
They also include educational parent resources, which can be provided to parents after the training is complete to reinforce similar strategies at home.
Programs find the trainings not only affordable, but very effective in building teachers’ skills and a positive team culture.
How do I sign up for a Rooted Membership?
Schedule a free 30-minute consultation with our founders. During your consultation, we will learn more about you and your program to help you figure out where to start. Once you are ready, we will get your set up on our platform (same day) and walk you through how to use it.
Why aren’t your leadership trainings available for individual purchase?
Our team invests significantly time upfront in the programs that we support via our Leadership Development Membership (e.g., full program assessments), and therefore we require a minimum one year commitment.
Our leadership development trainings form a cohesive approach, so that the practices you implement across your program (e.g., teacher supervision, hiring, financial management, etc.) all work in harmony to create ‘synergy’ within your program.
Therefore, we find programs get significantly better results when they have unlimited access to all of these trainings + our 24/7 coach (RootedAI), which is trained on all of our content.
Our ultimate goal is 'program transformation' - we believe that one year is the minimum amount of time necessary to achieve long-term change and impact.
Do you offer pricing for multiple location programs?
Yes. If you schedule time with our team and we will walk you through some options.
